A shelter-in-place has reportedly been ordered at California State University Long Beach.
Officials say that they are responding to a hazardous materials incident on the campus, which was prompted by an unusual smell coming from a vehicle in the area. Students and staff are being asked to shelter in place at several campus buildings and air quality in the area is being monitored.
It is unknown if anyone has been sickened. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
