BREAKING: Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Detective Sentenced in Molestation Case Involving Child Whose Sexual Assault Case he was Working

A Los Angeles Count Sheriff’s detective has been sentenced to three years in prison after pleading guilty to lewd acts with a child.

Detective Neil Kimball, 45, who also pleaded guilty to having unlawful sexual intercourse, had been working the girl’s case for the elite Special Victims Bureau when he met with the young victim, who reported being the victim of sexual assault.

Kimball reportedly engaged in the lewd acts with the girl in November of 2017, before being arrested around a year later following an extensive investigation. A colleague of Kimball’s reportedly uncovered the incident while reviewing Kimball’s cases when the detective went out on medical leave.
