Amnesty International Issues Travel Warning for the U.S. 

Amnesty International has issued a U.S travel warning after this past weekend’s mass shooting, citing “rampant gun violence.”

The organization joins the countries of Japan, Uruguay, and Venezuela in issuing travel warnings for the U.S. Amnesty International’s warning specified that “depending on the traveler’s gender identity, race, country of origin, ethnic background, or sexual orientation, they may be at higher risk of being targeted with gun violence, and should plan accordingly.”

Travel warnings were also issued in the wake of mass shootings from 2016 and 2017 by Ireland, Germany, France, New Zealand, and Canada.
