“Peyton Place,” “Bonanza,” and “Jaws 2” Star Dies

Golden Globe award winning actor Barry Coe has reportedly died at the age of 84.

Coe, best known for his roles in “Peyton Place, “Bonanza,” and “Jaws 2,” died in California following a battle with myelodysplastic syndrome. Coe, whose real name was Barry Clark Heacock, co-starred in the 1957 movie “Peyton Place,” which ended up becoming a soap opera on ABC.

He then went on to win a Golden Globe award for most promising male newcomer for his role in “A Private Affair.” The award has since been phased out.
