Two Charged After Allegedly Setting a Dog on Fire in a West Haven, Connecticut, Parking Lot

Police have charged two people who allegedly set a dog on fire in a West Haven, Connecticut, parking lot.

35-year-old Latrice Moody, the dog’s owner, and 41-year-old Maurice Jackson have been arrested. Police say that they were called to a parking lot on July 5th following reports of an uncontrolled fire. After the flames were put out, police found the dead dog.

An initial investigation determined that the dog had been set on fire and left in the parking lot.

Moody has been charged with violation of animal cruelty, breach of peace, illegal dumping and open burning, while Jackson was charged with breach of peace, illegal dumping and open burning.
