Multiple People Bitten by Sharks at Popular Florida Beach

At least three people have reportedly been bitten by sharks in 24 hours at a popular Florida beach.

The bitings, two of which happened to surfers, occurred at New Smyrna Beach in Volusia County, Florida, which has been billed as the “shark attack capital of the world.” Many sharks reportedly gather at the beach due to the large number of bait fish that reside in the area. None of the injuries sustained are believed to be life-threatening.

None of the sharks have been specifically identified.
