Missouri Man Accused of Walking Into Stranger’s Home and Molesting Multiple Young Boys

A man in Independence, Missouri, has been charged after he allegedly walked into a stranger’s home and molested two young boys.

Treyvohn D. Covington, 26, faces two counts of first-degree sodomy, second-degree child molestation and first-degree burglary. Police reportedly responded Sunday to reports of a burglary at the home. when they arrived, they found the man standing inside, naked from the waist down.

The boys’ grandmother says that she had been sleeping when one of the boys, who has autism, came into her room, acting “excitedly.” She told him to go back out into the living room, but then when she heard more nosies, she thought the boys were playing and went out to tell them to quiet down.

She then discovered Covington on top of one of the boys. She pushed him off and took the children into a locked bathroom until police arrived. Covington stated he had been with his friends drinking and blacked out. He stated the last thing he remembers is taking a shot of Hennessey in a car on the way home from the club. The next thing he remembered was waking up in jail and did not have any recollection of what happened.
