Dozens of Neglected Animals Found at New York Farm; At Least 14 Dead 

Police say that they have arrested a man after they found 14 dead and over 30 neglected animals at a farm in Adams Center, New York.

Jeffrey D. Zehr, 38, has been charged with 14 counts of misdemeanor overdriving, torturing and injuring animals; failure to provide proper sustenance. Police got a complaint of the conditions at the farm on August 3rd and discovered that a horse had been dragged over a section of the property while in pain but still alive.

After obtaining a search warrant, officers and a veterinarian reportedly found 14 animal carcasses, including calves, and a lack of proper food and water for 25 cows, four horses, four ponies and other farm animals.
