BREAKING: F-16 Fighter Jets Scramble After Planes Violate No-Fly Zone in New Jersey

NORAD says that F-16 fighter jets were scrambled twice on Friday evening in an attempt to intercept planes that violated a no-fly zone in New Jersey, according to 12 News New Jersey.

The separate incidents occurred at 7:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. after two small planes “were not communicating with air traffic controllers” and were violating a temporary flight restriction.

After NORAD responded, the pilots got back in communication with the air traffic controllers, and left the restricted zone.

The area was under a temporary no-fly zone because President Trump was in the area visiting his golf resort.
