Multiple Columbus, Ohio, police officers are reportedly facing possible disciplinary action in connection to their arrest of adult film star Stormy Daniels.
The Columbus Division of Police announced that they will be filing disciplinary charges against five officer in connection to the arrest the occurred over a year ago. The five officers from the now disbanded Vice Section who are being charged this week include a commander, a lieutenant, a sergeant, and two of the arresting officers.
The officers will face possible reprimand, suspension, demotion or termination. Prosecutors dropped the charges against Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, shortly after her arrest, saying that the applicable law only applied to those that regularly perform at the club. Daniels accused the officers of arresting her as an attempt to discredit her.
