Two Men Taken Into Custody at Tucson International Airport For Allegedly Trying to Join ISIS

Two men have been taken into custody at Tucson International Airport in Tucson, Arizona, after they allegedly were planning to fly to join ISIS.

20-year-old Abdi Yemani Hussein and 21-year-old Ahmed Mahad Mohamed, were arrested Friday afternoon after an undercover investigation involving an FBI agent pretending to be an ISIS supporter.

The two men, both from Somalia, met with the undercover agent several times and told him of their plans to kill people in Syria as part of ISIS.

According to KGUN, “On Thursday, Mohamed told the agent that he and Hussein had bought roundtrip tickets to Cairo, Egypt from Tucson International Airport, for the following day. On Friday, after the men had received their boarding passes and crossed through security at the airport, federal agents took them into custody.”
