BREAKING: Army Colonel Identifies Herself as Woman Accusing Joint Chiefs of Staff Vice Chairman Nominee of Sexual Assault

The woman who accused General John Hyten, President Trump’s nominee to be vice chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, of sexual assault has publicly identified herself as Army Col. Kathryn A. Spletstoser.

In an interview with The New York Times, Spletstoser, who served two combat tours in Iraq and two in Afghanistan as part of her career spanning almost three decades, said it was her duty to come forward after Hyten was nominated to be the second highest-ranking general in the country.

Spletstoser alleges that General Hyten subjected her to unwanted sexual advances by kissing, hugging, and rubbing up against her in 2017. The advances escalated, she alleges, ended in an incident in her hotel room in Simi Valley, California, while they were at the Reagan National Defense Forum.
