A second professional boxer has died in a week after boxer Hugo Santillan died due to injuries sustained during a fight.
Santillan, 23, died in Argentina after suffering injuries during the WBC Latino Silver lightweight title in Buenos Aires on Saturday. He collapsed during the announcing of the winner, eventually being stretchered out of the arena. The boxer reportedly went into cardiorespiratory failure twice before ultimately succumbing to his injuries.
The death come just two days after 28-year-old boxer Maxim Dadashev died from injuries he suffered during his fight on Friday.
