Home Depot Employee Killed After Drywall Collapses on Top of Him

A Missouri Home Depot employee died on the job when pieces of drywall fell on his head, police said.

The 60-year-old man, who hasn’t been identified, was using a forklift to transport the drywall in the St. Peters, Missouri, store just after 12:15 a.m. Tuesday when multiple sheets collapsed on top of him, ABC News reported.

The worker was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. In a statement to the outlet, Home Depot said it is “deeply saddened by this tragic accident” and that “our sympathy is with the family.”
