A Florida woman was arrested Thursday morning after stealing an ambulance and leading police on a short chase.
Amber Sills, 29, reportedly stole an empty ambulance left by paramedics on a call in a Fort Pierce apartment complex. As paramedics prepared to leave the complex with their patient, they heard a call of a stolen ambulance, which they thought was a joking. However, when they returned outside, they saw that their vehicle had been taken.
Sills then led police on a three minute chase, which ended with her crashing into a police cruiser. Sills was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon on a law enforcement officer, aggravated fleeing and eluding, and grand theft.
