Ivory from Hundreds of Elephants Found in $48 Million Bust

Almost 12 tons of pangolin scales and nearly 9 tons of ivory packaged in hundreds of bags have been seized in a massive Singapore bust.

Around $48 million worth of materials were seized in the bust, which was found inside illegal cargo. The materials reportedly originated from the Democratic Republic of the Congo and were heading towards Vietnam.

The ivory is believed to have come from at least 300 different elephants, making it the largest such seizure ever in Singapore.
