Beaches in Seattle, Washington, have been closed after 3 million gallons of sewage spilled into the Puget Sound.
Several beaches were closed by officials Friday after around 3 million gallons of untreated sewage spilled out of treatment plants. The system failures were believed to have been caused by power disruptions at the plants.
The spill reportedly lasted for around 27 minutes. It is unclear how long the closures may last.
