A woman in Manchester-by-the-Sea, Massachusetts, was awakened in the middle of the night after a man dressed as a pirate broke into her home.
79-year-old Herbert Gleason had reportedly broken into the home and had been standing over her in pirate garb as she slept on the couch until she woke up. Police searched for the 2002 Dodge Ram that he fled in until they located him in a nearby town and arrested for driving with a revoked license. He was found wearing a black bandana, a black button-up shirt, black pants, a brown leather belt with a gold chain pendants intertwined in it, and was not wearing shoes.
The woman later positively identified him as the intruder and Gleason was charged with breaking and entering during the daytime to commit a felony and put a person in fear. The man was not believed to have been intoxicated at the time.
