Police say that they have identified bone fragments of a 57-year-old Texas man who had been missing for months have been found in the feces of his own dogs.
DNA testing determined that pieces of bone recovered from the dogs’ feces were those of 57-year-old Freddie Mack. Officials say that the 18 dogs ate the entirety of Mack, including his bones and clothing. The man had serious health problems, and it’s unclear whether the dogs killed their owner or consumed his body after he died from a medical condition.
Mack disappeared from his home in May. The dogs had reportedly prevented family and authorities from entering the home after they became extremely aggressive.
