A Florida man was reportedly held at gunpoint by a pastor at a church in Tampa, Florida, after breaking into the building.
Miguel Otero-Rivera, 49, reportedly broke into the Seminole Heights Baptist Church early Thursday morning, setting off a security alarm. Pastor Brant Adams, 40, was awoken by the alarm, and went over to the church with a handgun.
Upon entering the church, the pastor saw the man who he did not recognize, and ordered him to get onto the ground when approached. Rivers complied, and Adams held the man at gunpoint until police arrived.
Rivera was arrested and charged with burglary of an unoccupied structure, grand theft, possession of burglary tools, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
