Denise Nickerson, the actress who starred as “Violet” in the movie “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” has reportedly been taken off of life support and her family have stopped her hospital treatment.
Nickerson, 62, reportedly took several medications inside of her home Monday, after which her family took her to the emergency room. Once inside the hospital, doctors diagnosed her with pneumonia, but the actress suffered a large seizure on Tuesday that left her on life support.
Her family have reportedly now made the decision to take her off of life support after her condition continued to worsen. Her son, Josh, and his wife are at the hospital, and have started a fundraising page to honor Denise’s last wishes of being cremated and her ashes turned into glass artwork.
