“ALF” star Max Wright, who played the role of the father on the hit 80’s sitcom, has died at the age of 75.
Wright had been battling cancer after being diagnosed with lymphoma in 1995. He had recently been in remission before his health turned. He was a veteran actor who was best known for his role as Willie Tanner on the sitcom, which ran for four seasons on NBC.
He also starred in several films, including “All That Jazz,” “Reds,” “The Sting II,” “Soul Man,” “The Shadow,” among others.
