After around three weeks of testimony, a South Carolina man has been sentenced to death for the murder of his five children.
Tim Jones Jr. was given the death penalty for the 2014 murder of his five children, ages ranging from one to eight. The bodies of the children were found in Alabama, dumped into trash bags on the side of the road. Jones Jr. was arrested in Mississippi and appeared to be under the influence during questioning. Judge Eugene Griffith has sentenced him to die via lethal injection or electric chair on November 30th.
It was later discovered that the man had been using the street drug “spice” and had believed that his children would kill him and feed him to their dogs. His defense had tried to clear him by means of insanity, claiming him to be schizophrenic, but he was not diagnosed with the disorder at the time of the crime.
