For the second time in less than a month, an alligator has been found roaming around in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
A man was reportedly walking his dog in a Pittsburgh neighborhood last night when he spotted a five foot long alligator in front of a neighbor’s garage. Pittsburgh police and animal control officers responded to the scene, where the alligator was agitated and hissing. They were able to corral the animal and take it to an animal rescue shelter.
The first alligator, measuring three feet in length, was found at Riverfront Park on May 18th. Officials believe that the gators were released by people who bought them when they were young, but then were unable to care for them as they got larger.
