Singer R. Kelly has pleaded not guilty to the 11 new sexual assault charges brought against him in Chicago.
Theagainst the award-winning singer, 52, stem from the sexual abuse of Jerhonda Pace, then a minor, that allegedly took place in 2010. She discussed her abuse in the documentary series “Surviving R. Kelly.”
Today’s hearing came a week after prosecutors announced the new charges, including four counts of aggravated sexual assault. Each of those charges carries a maximum sentence of 30 years in prison. His next court date has been set for June 26th.
