“Metal Thieves” Steal Entire Railway Bridge

“Metal thieves” in northern Russia reportedly made off with an entire railway bridge, according to local prosecutors.

The unknown perpetrators removed a metal structure 23m long and weighing 56 tons from the bridge. The bridge, which is no longer used, is located in a remote forest near the abandoned settlement of Oktyabrskaya.

Despite the seemingly massive haul, the stolen materials are only valued at around $9,000.
