Carmine Caridi, best known for his role in “The Godfather,” has reportedly died at the age of 85.
Caridi reportedly suffered a fall on April 25th, for which he was hospitalized. He had been being treated for back issues, but caught pneumonia while in the hospital.
Caridi played Carmine Rosato in “The Godfather Part II” and “The Godfather Part III” as Albert Volpe. He also starred in several TV shows such as “Starsky and Hutch,” “Taxi,” “Fame” and “Simon & Simon.” He’s also known as one of the few people who have been expelled from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for sharing movie screeners in 2004.
