New Jersey Legionnaires’ Outbreak Leaves Multiple Dead, at least 17 Others Sickened

A Legionnaires’ disease outbreak in New Jersey has left at least five people dead and 17 others sickened.

Health officials described those who died from the disease as five “older adults” who had other health problems. The 22 cases between March 8th and May 13th all involved people who live in or visited Union County.

Health officials have been unable to pinpoint the exact location where the outbreak began, but they are continuing their investigation.
