A man in Nebraska has been arrested for giving a fake name to police despite wearing a lanyard with his real name on it while talking to police.
Markel Towner, 26, had two warrants for his arrest when police responded to a domestic assault call at a home in Lincoln. They found him in a vehicle in front of the home and asked him to identify himself.
However, Towner at this point decided it would be best to give a fake identity, despite having a lanyard with his name on it around his neck. After a brief struggle, he was taken into custody. He has been charged with resisting arrest, obstructing a government operation, false reporting, child neglect and third degree domestic assault.
