Former Olympian and Coach Found Guilty of Sexual Abuse of a Minor

Former Olympic athlete and coach Alexander Greaux-Gómez has been found guilty of the sexual abuse of a minor.

Gómez had been charged with the sexual enticement of a minor, and transportation with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity. He was originally arrested on February 9, 2017, by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) special agents in conjunction with Puerto Rican authorities.

He had originally also been indicted on charges of child pornography, but was not found guilty on that charge. Gómez reportedly engaged in a sexual relationship with one of the athletes that he coached at his track school while she was 15.
