A man from Forest Grove, Oregon, is accused of stealing from his daughter’s cookie sale money to pay for an erotic massage.
Brian David Couture was sentenced Monday to 18 months of probation, 80 hours of community service and restitution as part of a plea deal in the case. He reportedly stole $700 from his daughter and also staged a burglary at his home to conceal the theft.
Police were originally called to his home for the burglary, but they quickly deduced that no crime had actually occurred. Couture eventually told police he stole the money to pay for the erotic massage and then “faked the robbery when he realized he couldn’t explain the missing funds,” according to prosecutors.
