BREAKING: Man Charged with Vehicular Manslaughter in Death of California Dog Walker and Five Dogs

A man in Long Beach, California, has been charged with vehicular manslaughter in the death of a popular dog walker and five of the dogs she had with her.

Javier Olivarez Jr. of Los Angeles led police on a chase in a stolen van before eventually colliding with the car that Jessica Bingaman was in. The impact killed her and five of the dogs. Charges also include allegations Olivarez was convicted in 2002 of unlawfully planting or cultivating marijuana, receiving stolen property in 2004, second-degree robbery in 2007, and possession of belt buckle knife in 2017.

Olivarez faces a possible maximum sentence of 38 years in state prison.
