Mr. Phillips, an Englishman who now lives in retirement in Florida, has returned a missing part of Stonehenge that he took 60 years ago.
In the 1950s, he had been employed by a diamond-cutting firm that was brought in to help reinforce the giant stones. The workers extracted one meter long cores of the stone to reinforce the large objects, but Phillips reportedly decided to take one of these cores with him.
He later moved to Florida with the part of Stonehenge with him. The now returned portion will be used to hopefully try and determine the source of the stones.
