Boston Celtics general manager and president, Danny Ainge, is returning to Boston after suffering a heart attack while being in Milwaukee for the team’s playoff game.
The 60-year-old executive and former player suffered a “mild heart attack” Tuesday night, the team said. News outlets are reporting that the heart attack occurred before the game Tuesday night.
Coach Brad Stevens was made aware but the rest of the team did not know at that time. The Celtics lost to the Bucks on Tuesday in Milwaukee and evened the playoff series at 1-1. The Celtics are scheduled to play Game 3 against the Bucks on Friday.
