Los Angeles police said a little girl kept her baby brother alive after the apparent murder-suicide of their parents. Officers found children unharmed inside their home in the Chatsworth on April 14. The bodies of their parents were discovered in the upstairs bedroom, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Detectives believe the 46-year-old man shot his 38-year-old wife then turned the gun on himself on April 11, with their two children also inside the home. Police entered the residence three days later after a call about an “assault with a deadly weapon shots fired.” The children were dehydrated and hungry but fully-clothed. The boy was found inside his crib. They are now in the care of the Department of Children and Family Services and both are said to be doing well.
