The Bolton vs. Brentford match in the English Football League has been postponed after Bolton failed to play its players.
Bolton’s players reportedly refused to play the match after the club had not paid them. The league issued a statement on the incident:
“Following the failure of Bolton Wanderers to provide formal confirmation of its ability to meet its obligation to fulfil its Championship fixture against Brentford FC on Saturday (27 April), the game will not go ahead as planned.”
The players will reportedly not play any matches until the unpaid wages come through.
