Tobacco Company Launches Life Insurance Company

Tobacco company Philip Morris has launched a life insurance company that offers discounts to those that quit smoking.

The company, named Reviti, will initially sell life insurance in the U.K. with plans to expand into more markets overseas. Philip Morris, who sells Marlboro cigarettes, also produces vaping devices designed to help smokers quit.

PMI stated that it will determine how big of a discount to give people for using alternative products based on collected data along with the potential of a product to reduce a person’s risk.
