Officials say they have found multiple hearts inside of a Chicago alleyway, which they originally believed to possibly have been human, but now say do not belong to any people.
The hearts were found Friday morning around 9:30 a.m. They were taken to the medical examiner’s office to determine whether or not they were human, but the examiner declared that they do not belong to any primates. The species of origin for the organs has yet to be determined, however, as the examiner only deals in human remains.
An investigation into how the hearts got to the alley is underway.
