The founder of a nonprofit music program in Santa Ana, California, has been charged after flutes provided to students were found to be tainted with semen.
John Zeretzke, 60, is accused of providing the flutes to at least five girls under the age of 14 in Los Angeles and Orange Counties. He founded an international program called Flutes Across the World that held programs in schools where thousands of students played or made flutes. An investigation into the program began in 2017 after some reports that flutes had been contaminated.
He has since pleaded not guilty to the charges.
