At least 26 people were arrested last night in downtown Chicago after a group of 500 teens descended on the area.
A large amount of fighting and general disobedience occurred as the group entered the downtown area, although the reason why they were there is not clear. Around 200 police, including many on horseback, responded to break up the crowd. Officials also called in area principals to speak to the youths.
Altogether, police say 26 juveniles were arrested. 20 boys and six girls face misdemeanors, though all were turned back over to their families.
