The CDC says that a multi-state food poisoning outbreak likely stems from a bad batch of ground beef.
The outbreak has sickened over 100 people across six different states. The CDC continued to say that they have been unable to determine a specific supplier or brand for the contamination.
The outbreak started in early March. So far, 109 people have been infected with E. coli O103, an unusual strain of the bacteria. Half of the cases are in Kentucky. The others are Georgia, Indiana, Ohio, Tennessee and Virginia.
