Businesses Evacuated and Highway Closed After Propane Tanker Crash Injures Multiple People in Acton, California

A three-vehicle crash near Acton, California, forced the evacuation of several businesses and the closure of the 14 Freeway Tuesday morning.

The highway remains mostly closed and will continue to be four several more hours. The crash overturned a propane tank, which spilled its contents onto the roadway. A hazmat team is continuing to clean up the area, as well as to determine a way to remove all the propane from the tank.

At least five people were injured in the crash, including a mother and child who were airlifted to a nearby hospital in critical condition
