A New Port Richey, Florida, man has been arrested for murder, shortly after his release from federal prison.
Randy Petersilge, 51, is accused of killing Simon Clark, 41, in 2001. No arrests were made at the time, but police say that Petersilge was a suspect. The case was reopened in 2017 and a grand jury indicted him in 2018 on one count of first-degree murder.
Petersilge was incarcerated in federal prison during the time of his indictment and a detainer was placed on him. Upon his release on Friday, he was placed under arrest for first-degree homicide and is currently awaiting transport to the Pasco County Jail.
