A baseball field in Ridgefield, Connecticut, was severely damaged after someone reportedly set fire to the field in an attempt to dry it.
Officials say a high school baseball team was supposed to play there, but were unable to due to inclement weather. At this point, someone decided that it would be a good idea to set the field on fire to try and dry it.
They reportedly used 24 gallons of gasoline to dry the field, however the ensuing blaze severely damaged the field, and repairs will need to be made before it can be played on again. No one was injured.
