BREAKING: Woman Arrested, Accused of Sending Threatening Letter to U.S. Senator

Federal officials have arrested the woman that they say sent a threatening letter that claimed to have ricin inside of it to Senator Susan Collins last October.

Suzanne Muscara is accused of mailed starch to the senator’s husband, Thomas Daffron, with a letter that claimed to have been coated with “ricin residue.” The 37-year-old also reportedly added in the letter that Collins had “betrayed the people of Maine.” The incident occurred shortly after the senator voted to confirm Supreme Court Justice Kavanaugh.

Muscara faces up to ten years in jail.
