Chicago police are asking witnesses to come forward with information about a possible serial killer who may be responsible for the deaths of more than 50 women, a report said Friday.
The Chicago Police Department said they are looking into the possibility of a serial killer after a group called the Murder Accountability Project said that there is a pattern in the murders. The project said the killing of 50 females since 2001 who were all strangled and their bodies dumped is consistent with a serial killer. “It’s highly unlikely these 50 women were murdered by 50 separate men,” the head of the project, Thomas Hargrove, said. Police are continuing the investigation.
