A new massive blackout has spread across Venezuela, according to the Associated Press.
The blackout, which began shortly after 1 p.m. Monday afternoon, has affected at least 16 of Venezuela’s 23 states.
The blackout ended a few hours later, only to start up again later in the evening.
The blackout comes after the nation’s longest-ever blacout two weeks ago, which lasted for days.
President Nicolas Maduro blamed the previous blackout on sabotaged by his political opponents, who are backed by the United States.
