BREAKING: Massive Fire Burning on Long Island

At least 10 different fire departments worked to control a massive fire that has engulfed a luxury apartment complex on Long Island, according to local media.

The fire first broke out on Saturday afternoon at about 6 p.m., with flames being fueled by heavy winds in the area. By about 9 p.m. local time, the fire was under control and no injuries had been reported. About 18 units were believed to have been damaged.

The fire is burning at the Avalon Court complex. Local media says this is the “third major fire at an AvalonBay apartment complex in just over four years.”
