Former Brazilian President Michel Temer has been arrested and charged in a corruption scandal, according to BBC News.
Temer, 78, was taken into custody in Sao Paulo and will be transported to Rio de Janeiro to face the charges.
One of the cases Temer was reportedly involved in is known as Operation Car Wash.
It began as an investigation into money laundering and led to investigations into the state oil company, alleging that it accepted bribes from construction firms. Many government officials are believed to have been involved.
