BREAKING: Treasurer Accused of Stealing At Least $400,000 from Fallen New York City Police Officer Charity

A volunteer treasurer for a New York City Police fallen officer charity is accused of stealing at least $400,000 from the charity.

Lorraine Shanley, 68, of Staten Island, is charged with bank fraud and identity theft after stealing the money from Survivors of the Shield. She reportedly used checks and credit cards from the charity’s account to go on spending sprees, sending money to family members and paying legal fees in a criminal case against her son. 

If convicted, she faces up to 30 years in prison.
